S: Hi Mona! Thank you for taking the time to chat. How are you?
M: Hi Sophie! Good, thank you! I’m excited for our interview.
S: Me too! Let’s dive in then. First off, you look so stunning in this collection. Do you have an absolute favorite piece?
M: I love my cute Shirley Bag! It’s great for carrying all the essentials.
S: It’s definitely a must-have! Speaking of essentials, what is one item you cannot leave the house without?
M: I can’t leave the house without the obvious things such as my phone and keys and all the boring stuff, but then I always always carry lip balm and water.
S: Good choices! Now that summer is (almost) here, do you have any plans to travel?
M: I am super excited to go visit some friends in the French countryside, and to also relax in Brittany and Eddie’s family home in Sweden.
S: I’m jealous! France and Sweden sound like the perfect vacation spots to get some sun and relax. We know you’re normally very busy, so do you have a favorite comfort movie when you want to wind down?
M: My all time favorite movie is “The Godfather”! And for comfort I always rewatch my favorite TV series: “I May Destory You” and “Fleabag” (Season 2).
S: I’ll have to add those to my list! Speaking of films, what is your favorite film course you have taken?!
M: I was once invited to a masterclass by the creators and writers from the tv show “Succession”. That was insanely inspirational!
S: Wow sounds like an incredible and valuable experience. Who do you get inspiration from for screenwriting?!
M: Honestly, I would say I get my inspiration from my friends.
S: That is very sweet, I’m sure your friends appreciate being the inspiration. How do you find a healthy balance between work and life activities?
M: My best investment ever has been going to therapy and learning how to set boundaries. It’s very cliche, but that’s my balance: boundaries and therapy.
S: Definitely not cliche when it's true! I know your family time is also extremely important to you, so how do you enjoy spending time together?
M: We love eating together around the dinner table! And on the weekends spending slow mornings in bed.
S: Sounds super cozy. Now that you have two little ones, what has motherhood taught you?
M: I think my kids have taught me more things about myself than I ever could have learned on my own, and also that parenting foremost is about learning how to parent one’s self rather than anyone else.
S: I love that! And lastly, If you could give advice to the younger version of yourself, what would it be?
M: I would tell myself to stop giving unsolicited advice!
