S: Hi Amanda!
A: Hi Squeppy!
S: Where in the world are you right now?
A: Right now I’m in my home doing the laundry and packing - I’m headed to Vilnius in Lithuania tonight to shoot a German produced TV show that will be out next year.
S: Exciting!
A: Very.
S: Okay let’s get this Q&A started.
A: Let’s do it!
S: What do the first 30 minutes of your day look like?
A: Kids. My first 3 hours basically evolves around the kids. Like any other family with small kids. It’s pretty practical and is all about changing diapers, feeding the family and getting dressed. The best part is having a 5 minute break in the shower. Some times…. Just some times… I get to put both serum AND moisturizer on. And that’s a really good day.
S: Wow, that would be a really good day. How is mom life treating you?
A: Mom life is treating me well. I have two healthy lovely children. There are ups and downs and they push your buttons, but it’s always for the better and it’s a lot of fun. Equally challenging and rewarding.
S: Totally. Speaking of rewarding. How do you take your coffee? And where?
A: We have a really good coffee machine. It’s the first thing I turn on in the morning. I do a mean oat milk cappuccino.
S: What is your favorite OpéraSPORT item?
A: It’s hard to choose. I love my pink Claude t-shirt. I love the material! Also I love my sweatsuit. Finally someone made the sleeves and legs long enough for a tall person like me.
S: How did you spend New Years?
A: Home in Copenhagen with some really good friends. I honestly hate NYE. I feel like Christmas and NYE is a setup for ourselves to get through the darkness.
S: A nice way to get through the darkness though?
A: Yes, but I love just doing nothing major and going to bed early. Eating good healthy food. Last year I celebrated NYE in South Africa with my husband and our kids and I loved getting dressed up, having good food and going to bed at 9PM. I think we will do the same this year, just in Copenhagen. So a bit colder and a little less sunshine.
S: Sounds nice! Speaking of sunshine. What will your wear to the Oscar’s?
A: Good question! I hope I will go, fingers crossed. If Bastarden gets shortlisted. Let’s see!
S: I’m sure it will be in the top 5. It’s Oscar worthy!
A: Well can you make me a dress then?
S: Of course, we’ll figure something out. If you can bring me as your +1?
A: Deal.
S: Okay, I will let you get back to your laundry now. Have fun and call me when you get back from Lithuania!
A: I will.
