Check the care label
Choose a suitable detergent (gentle, free & clear, or fine fabric detergent for delicate items).

Pre-treat stains
Apply stain remover or liquid detergent gently with your fingers — don’t scrub hard.

Fill the sink
Use lukewarm or cold water based on the fabric type. Add detergent and swish to mix.

Soak the garment
Submerge it fully and gently squeeze water through. A color change is usually excess dye.

Handle carefully 
Support heavy or long items like knit dresses to prevent stretching.

Rinse well
Use cool water to rinse thoroughly. Repeat until water runs clear.

Remove excess water
Don’t wring. Gently squeeze and roll the garment in a towel to absorb moisture.

Lay flat to dry
Reshape and dry flat. Flip once the front is dry.
